Beliefs of Dana Christian School

I: Scriptures

We believe that all scripture is given by the inspiration of God and is found perfectly preserved for us today within the word of God.  The Bible is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice. Our school uses the KJV of the Bible for consistency and clarity in the teaching of the Abeka curriculum.  Psalm 12:6-7; 2 Timothy 3:16

II: Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is God manifest in the flesh, born of a virgin, without sin, crucified, risen, and coming again in the clouds for his church and soon after coming back to earth to establish his kingdom. 1 Timothy 3:16; Matthew 1:18-25; John 14:1-6; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 Revelation 19:11-16

III: Man

We believe that all men are sinners and that sin and death entered this world through the first man, Adam.  Genesis 3; Romans 3:10-23; Romans 5:12

IV: The Gospel

We believe the record that God has set forth in his word that Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.  1 Corinthians 15:1-4

V: Salvation

We believe that salvation is available by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ who died for the sins of the world and then sat down on the right hand of God. This is available to all men that call upon the name of the Lord by faith regardless of color, economic or social status, or educational background. We further believe that salvation is apart from any amount of good works that we can perform. Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 5:8-11; Romans 4:5; Isaiah 64:6

VI: Eternal Security

We believe the born-again child of God (Anyone who is saved by faith in Christ) is eternally secure in Christ and is baptized, indwelt, regenerated, comforted, and sealed by the Holy Ghost until the day of redemption. Ephesians 1:12-13; Ephesians 4:30; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20; 1 Corinthians 12:13; John 14:16-17; Titus 3:5; Philippians 1:6; Romans 8:38-39
